Our facilities are primary birthing centres for all women having low-risk births, without intervention

Our service is free to women of all ages who are eligible for care in New Zealand hospitals and whose pregnancy is considered low risk primary care.  Our rooms have ensuite bathrooms which include water birthing facility.

We provide a calm and nurturing setting for women to have an active birth, and enjoy the crucial first days with their baby in a supportive environment. We provide extensive post-natal care, including support with breastfeeding.

Our vision is to work in partnership with families to effect an informed, active and natural birthing experience.

All our Birthing Centres now offer a LMC Midwifery Service to women that are unable to find a midwife to provide their primary care. The Birthing Centre offers a 24/7 midwifery care and telephone service. This is a free midwifery service the same as any other LMC midwifery service.
